Chinese culture and art emphasize “form, spirit, and qi”, with the core being a single character for “qi”. The axis sequence of ancient Chinese architecture fully embodies the spirit of “ritual” as the core of Chinese culture, using the sequence to demonstrate grandeur. The main entrance square on the west side of the conference center is constructed with a spatial sequence of “Front Square – Mirror Water Reflecting the Moon – Welcome Avenue – Etiquette Square”. The opening and closing are orderly, and the virtual and real are intertwined. A form surrounds the space, creating a grand atmosphere. The solemn and clear sense of order showcases the majestic style of a great country..

Drawing inspiration from the techniques of combining distance and reality in Chinese landscape painting, and drawing inspiration from the dynamic and elegant artistic conception of mountains and waters in the Changsha Guqin opera “Xiaoxiang Shuiyun”, the facade design is based on “bamboo slips” and uses vertical metal folding panels for facade treatment. Through parameterized design, 7500 metal perforated panels with varying lengths, widths, and densities are pieced together to form a 900 meter long landscape painting, Under the backdrop of the winding Liuyang River, Changsha is known as the “Water Cloud Xiaoxiang, Shanshui Zhou City” city. The facade adopts vertical angled metal perforated panels as shading components, which can enhance the stiffness of the metal panels, keep the facade clean and durable, and avoid the common phenomenon of hanging dust and dirt in horizontal buildings. Thirdly, it adapts to the characteristics of cloudy and rainy weather in Changsha. By folding the panels, it is easier to form a contrast between light and dark on cloudy days, which is conducive to expressing the texture effect of ink painting..

Yuelu Academy is an important carrier of Chinese culture and a concentrated symbol of Hunan culture. The rooftop garden of the conference center draws inspiration from Yuelu Academy, and a square courtyard is enclosed by a thousand step corridor around it. The center of the courtyard is decorated with a rest pavilion based on the “Hexi Terrace”. Combined with the undulating mountain walls, it creates a Yunzhong Academy that looks up at the stars and has unique caves, inheriting the Yuelu spirit of “only Chu has talent, thriving here”..

There is a large outdoor parking lot outside the conference center, designed as a green parking lot in accordance with the needs of Sponge City. During the conference, it meets the outdoor parking and exhibition needs, and is open to the public as a citizen park on weekdays, integrating with the life of Changsha citizens, and activating the vitality of the high-speed rail new city community..
