With the gradual deepening of the work, he found that the interface of the same pipeline had deviation in the two sets of drawings provided by the design unit and the construction unit, which buried a huge hidden danger for the design of outdoor pipelines.

Jiefang communicated and discussed with the design unit for many times, and agreed that the escape route of the personnel in the power cabin corridor should be changed from going directly to the outside to entering the water supply cabin with lower risk level, and then through the integrated escape exit, the escape scheme of evacuating to the safe area is feasible and more reasonable, which not only meets the specification requirements of the layout spacing of the escape exit of the power cabin, It also shortens the escape distance of personnel, and reduces the construction difficulty and construction investment.

Among the comprehensive pipe gallery built in China, it is the first mountain comprehensive pipe gallery with the largest elevation difference and the deepest laying, and the design work is extremely difficult.

Jiefang feels deeply that this project has great innovation, difficult design and great construction responsibility.

Subsequently, Jiefang and his colleagues participated in the comprehensive review of Winter Olympic projects such as the emergency water source guarantee project in Yanqing competition area of the Winter Olympic Games, Shougang ski jump center and Winter Olympic square, so as to provide strong support and guarantee for the smooth commencement and construction of major projects..

Jiefang completed the review of nearly 200 drawings in only 7 days, and put forward rectification opinions on the fire fighting, ventilation, drainage and personnel escape of the comprehensive pipe gallery crossing the mountain section, which was highly praised by the construction unit and the design unit.

He immediately took the computer and drawings and directly entered the project department on the construction site in the heat.

At the beginning of 2019, in order to ensure the construction of the Winter Olympic Games project on time, as a member of the construction drawing review unit, Jiefang began the comprehensive review of construction drawings at the first time.

In 2006, when Jiefang was still a young engineering designer, he joined the army of the construction of Olympic venues and participated in the design of the outdoor pipeline project of the “dragon shaped water system” in the central area of Beijing Olympic Park, including municipal public pipelines such as domestic water, reclaimed water, sewage, rainwater, air conditioning, electricity, telecommunications and lighting, These outdoor pipelines buried around the “bird’s nest” of the National Stadium are the link between the energy center and various users.

The comprehensive pipe gallery is 7.87KM long, with a height difference of 500m and a maximum depth of 300m.

His daily work is to conduct comprehensive review and technical consultation on the construction drawings of Beijing housing construction projects and municipal infrastructure projects.

Therefore, he communicated with the design unit in advance, worked overtime to get familiar with the design drawings, understood the innovative ideas of the designers, read the natural, geographical, underground soil structure and other materials of the design project, and then analyzed and judged every detail of the project according to the national construction standards and international standards, so as to strictly find all kinds of potential risks, To guard against even one ten thousandth of the risk.

It does not have the colorful “ice ribbon” and the beautiful curve of “ski jumping platform”, but its safe and stable operation is the cornerstone of the normal progress of the Winter Olympic Games.

After receiving the design task, Jiefang first carried out the work of collecting preliminary data.

When audiences all over the world take photos with the “bird’s nest” in the Olympic Park, can they think of the land under their feet, which is deeply buried with the efforts and sweat of the outdoor pipeline designers of the Olympic project? When Jiefang came here again, he could count all kinds of underground pipelines like an X-ray machine, because these had already been branded in his heart.
